Connecting Community through the Arts
The “Connections” event is the cultural collaboration between B.A.G.S. and Commerce Bank Connect®, a banking center in the Central West End that combines the convenience of digital banking solutions with a personal touch. The tech-centric location taps into the momentum of the bustling Central West End neighborhood and provides state-of-the-art meeting and event space to connect people, ideas, and the community.
Our Story
B.A.G.S. is a non-profit organization that provides diverse art workshops, activities, and curriculums to youth in the St. Louis community. Founded in 2018 by artist and teacher Byron D. Rogers, the organization uses art as a tool to help youth develop a sense of pride, of self, and an appreciation of the arts. Byron’s philosophy is that art is an avenue that promotes healing and growth while connecting us to each other. He is supported by a group of talented painters, graphic designers, photographers, sculptors, educators, musicians, life coaches and ministers who work tirelessly to help cultivate the inner artist that exists in everyone.
